Understand what type of master from what type of institution you want.
Do you want your master to be a few months? One year? Two years? Would you like to also have a mandatory internship to do while studying? Do you want to write a thesis too? Do you want a master from an academy, a university or other types of institutions? These are all things to think about when starting your search.Do a short list of countries that you are interested in. Look at the country's expertise, for example: you want to study Fashion? Look for universities in France and in Italy! Make sure you are interested in learning the country's language, it is a great opportunity. And also take into account the climate, culinary culture and activities of the countries you would want to study in.
Research all possible universities and different programs. Don't limit yourself, we don't realize how many diverse programs there are! Some universities are more known internationally which is great to take into account if you want to work elsewhere and other institutions are known for the specific niche knowledge. Look at everything, reach out to alumni and contact the institutions to get more information.
See if you are eligible for the Aide Financière aux Études.
If you did more than 90 credits in the province of Quebec, you are maybe eligible to have the government of Quebec fund you (with a bursary and loan) your international studies. Until previously checked, they can loan you up to CAD $75,000 to finance your studies.Find other possible ways of funding.
There exists so many foundations that can finance students do their master studies. They offer bursaries for different reasons, whether academic accomplishments, underprivileged scenarios, and for specific programs (like environmental and sustainability studies).
