Cafés as a true OG montrealer

Here are just a few places that you need to go to if you want to live the west side of Montreal experience.

Hopefully throughout the year I can explore other nice places around Montreal and update the list.

DISCLAIMER: unfortunately I can't give recommendations for good coffee because I don't drink it in general, BUT I can give recommendations for anything NOT coffee.

I need to start my list with my favourite place for a Chai Latte and that is Shaughnessy Café. It's right next to Dawson College, and it usually gets quite a bit busy during lunch time so I recommend to go early. I also highly recommend their baguette jambon sandwich which is amazing. If you feel like you need a strong dose of sunlight you can sit on their bar tables facing their big windows. They let you study and work, they have a few plugs around and wifi and you have different seating options from a nice large chair, a normal chair with a table and a high chair on a bar table.

An amazing place for a good scone and a Vanilla Milk is Melk Bar. It is on Monkland street, a few minutes away from Villa Maria metro station. They have extremely good pastries and my go-to is their Vanilla Milk which is basically milk with a dash of vanilla and an marshmallow, but trust me it is to die for. I have tried several times to make it and yet it doesn't even compare. They have many tables and many plugs. They also let you study and work there!

A quick mention to Crew Collective & Café in the Old Port. It is aesthetically gorgeous, they have really good chai and amazing breakfast and lunch options!

These are my go-to spots of the moment. If you think I should try other places, you can always email us at info@curatedhustle.com!
