Bars as a true OG montrealer

Hopefully throughout the year I can explore other nice places around Montreal and update the list.

Here are three bars that become clubs that are my-go-to especially in the winter times.

One that I go to maybe too much is Baby Far West, also known as Le Bar Baby, and that's because their music is great, the whole decor is so nice and the cocktails are always on point. Keep in mind this bar becomes a club after around 11pm so it's a great spot to grab drinks around 9pm and dance the night away. They DJ with vinyls which is awesome to watch and they have a very instagrammable bathroom!

Another bar I always enjoy is Philémon Bar. It's in the Old Port, they have great selections of wines, and they throw amazing nights. I recommend going there not so late because it will get packed fast and they stay open until 3am. Their music is more like 2010s-2015s pop, afro beats, hip hop, and reggaeton. Their staff is super nice and the vibes are like if you were in a big house party, you dance on tables and chairs, you wear whatever you want and you just have a good time.

A final bar that turns into a club that I of course need to mention is Flyjin. You want a chic/serious techno-y style with lazer lights and cave club like vibes? Go to Flyjin. Their DJs are really good, they do a lot of house and techno with famous pop and hiphop variations. You can go there early, eat a nice and expensive dinner and stay there dancing all night. You can also get a bottle service, which honestly I recommend if you are a large group.
